Critically Review someone's work

You are going to look at another person's work
1.Firstly use 5 words to describe that work
monochromatic
cool

filtered
clean
soft

2. Now comment on the images form

This means looking at the formal elements of an artwork.
  • What is the medium of the work?
The medium is a digital print
  • What kind of shapes or forms can you find?
the shapes in the photo are soft
  • Which  techniques have they used?
good use of rule of thirds, good use of the angle its taken from,  you
  • What kinds of textures can you see?
Matte & delicate textures

3. Finally consider the mood and meaning of the work

Mood means looking at how the artist has created a certain atmosphere or feeling.
  • How does the work make you feel?
it makes me feel a sense of relaxation with a slight tint of sadness

  • Why do you think you feel like this?
i think it makes me feel like this i would say, because, of the the setting of the photo & because of the mood that the monochromatic edit creates. i feel that it could be because of the possible concept/theme that it could be trying to create or has created that could have caused this

  • Does the colour, texture, form or theme of the work affect your mood?
yes (as i've previously mentioned in the question above)

Document what you did in the session on Tuesday and Wednesday (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC)  Throughout the two days of doing graphics, we did two different things, but we kinda had a idea of what we was getting ourselves into, as graphics relates to photography. we had to take photos with our cameras for the first day & also learn about & how to create Typography, which is the first time in which i had learnt about this process. for the second day we had continued, what we was doing in the previous day, but by expanding our knowledge & the task in which was set by digitally creating the typography in which we drew up, digitally by learning how to use a scanner & scan in stuff & to also recreate the typography which we drew up on adobe Illustrator once we scanned it in. we also learnt about composition & also the "design cycle process". Materials - as we did graphics we had to use 3 different types of materials, for the lessons. on ...
