Carosel - Graphics

  1. Document what you did in the session on Tuesday and Wednesday (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC)
Throughout the two days of doing graphics, we did two different things, but we kinda had a idea of what we was getting ourselves into, as graphics relates to photography. we had to take photos with our cameras for the first day & also learn about & how to create Typography, which is the first time in which i had learnt about this process. for the second day we had continued, what we was doing in the previous day, but by expanding our knowledge & the task in which was set by digitally creating the typography in which we drew up, digitally by learning how to use a scanner & scan in stuff & to also recreate the typography which we drew up on adobe Illustrator once we scanned it in. we also learnt about composition & also the "design cycle process".

Materials - as we did graphics we had to use 3 different types of materials, for the lessons. on Tuesday we had to use camera, to capture photos in which we needed to get for the task in which we was doing, & also pencil & paper to create typography, as that was the main part of our first day of graphics. on Wednesday, we were using computers & scanners as we were using different programs to continue what we was doing yesterday.

Skills/methods - throughout the two days of doing graphics, i have learnt quite a few skills especially in the second day when we was using different programs, as we used illustrator, indesign, & photoshop. it was the first time i had used illustrator during the lesson, & the first time since last year i had used photoshop & indesign, but it was the most i had used them  programs. in my opinion, my skills with them have not improved as i struggled to use them. i found them too complicated.

Evidence

re-creating our typography on adobe illustrator
leaning how to crop photos in adobe indesign
evidence of our typography from tuesday's graphics lesson
creating our own poster using our best image from tuesday's lesson in adobe indesign

learning about how posters are made by rule of thirds, golden spiral etc.

unit 6 - 3d research/context

what makes a 3d photograph? a picture that has or appears to have height, width and depth is three-dimensional, A picture that has height and width but no depth is two-dimensional. To full understand the concept of 3D photography, it is important to know how it happens. The simples way to define 3d photography is "it is a form of photography that captures and displays two offset images that are a little different from each other, so much so that they produce 3d images". it is pretty much like putting two images together in a distance similar to that of your eyes. You can create 3d images in different ways using a variety of methods. For majority of photographers, the most ideal way is to take photos using any digital camera and then use a 3d image software for achieving the three-dimensional effect. How is it done? here are a few steps you need to know to follow to take 3d photos 1. get your DSLR 2. prepare to take shots from different angles. however make sure yo...

Unit 6 - Analogue 3D Write Up (update)

as i previously mentioned in my last blog post, i started to do my research and overall started my process of creating my idea for my experimental Analogue 3D as part of my 3D project. In an update from my last post, unfortunately the process in which i was using to progress and create my analogue 3D part of my project, the stencil creator, the finished product from that was to hard for me to create my idea but also the overall picture i used was to small, so meaning it was blurry also. For those that did not know what my original idea was, i was planning on creating a stencil of an image using the link which is in the previous post to crete the stencil, which is of a rose, then get a scalpel, and slice the image diagonally then move some of the cut pieces to make it look like the rose has been cut up into pieces, or sliced into multiple pieces. Fortunately, i figured out a back-up plan, so with some given thought and inspiration from a fellow member of the class, what i decided to...

unit 6 - Analogue 3D Write Up

On Tuesday's lesson, we created our own analogue 3D design, to do with our 3d project unit. For this, we looked into the different types of analogue 3D designs & outlooks, using the knowledge that we gathered & research that we did from a previous lesson. Before we started to do the project, we research ideas of the types of designs in which we wanted to create in our own vision. this included ideas like stencil art, overlapping images etc. Our teacher Chris also provided inspiration via a Pinterest page in which he created for his blog to show us. For this project, i wanted to achieve my own take on a stencil art design, but by making it look like, or giving it i should say, a shattered glass effect. For this process of my project, i gathered an image which i felt would be a, or should i say, a great outcome for my idea for my 3D analogue design - then i took the image and inserted it into a website called -  http://www.stencilcreator.org/ & the i followed...
