unit 6 - Analogue 3D Write Up

On Tuesday's lesson, we created our own analogue 3D design, to do with our 3d project unit.
For this, we looked into the different types of analogue 3D designs & outlooks, using the knowledge that we gathered & research that we did from a previous lesson.

Before we started to do the project, we research ideas of the types of designs in which we wanted to create in our own vision. this included ideas like stencil art, overlapping images etc. Our teacher Chris also provided inspiration via a Pinterest page in which he created for his blog to show us.

For this project, i wanted to achieve my own take on a stencil art design, but by making it look like, or giving it i should say, a shattered glass effect.

For this process of my project, i gathered an image which i felt would be a, or should i say, a great outcome for my idea for my 3D analogue design -

then i took the image and inserted it into a website called - http://www.stencilcreator.org/

& the i followed the steps in which the site inclined for me to turn the photo into a stencil design, as my idea is to create a stencil art 3D analogue design. Whilst it was finishing off its process of creating the stencil, i printed off the original version of the photo, as i needed it so i could fully create the shattered glass effect.

Pinhole Photographer Research & photo analysis

Photography Homework Research one photographer & analyse one of their photos The photographer I have chosen to research & work analyse is Abelardo Morell. The reason why I have chosen to research him & analyse his work is because, as he is known for his camera obscura work, I find his photos very outstanding from others & very inspiring from others in which I have previously seen of the camera obscura calibre. Biography Abelardo Morell is a photographer who is well known for his mastery of the Camera Obscura technique/subject. Morell was born in Havana, Cuba in 1948 & immigrated with his family to New York in 1962. He earned a bachelor of arts from Bowdoin college in 1977, master of fine arts from Yale University school of art in 1981 & an honorary doctorate of fine arts degree from Bowdoin in 1997. Basic analysis of a students work

For todays lesson we had to analyse another students work. We did this for feedback reasons. To do this we had to get a photo we had taken up onto our computers then put it full screen then swap with someone else to analyse their work. some of the the analyse questions included describing, commenting on on the photos formal elements such as what techniques used, what is the medium of the work & what kind of textures are used & also consider the mood & meaning.

Carosel - Graphics

Document what you did in the session on Tuesday and Wednesday (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC)  Throughout the two days of doing graphics, we did two different things, but we kinda had a idea of what we was getting ourselves into, as graphics relates to photography. we had to take photos with our cameras for the first day & also learn about & how to create Typography, which is the first time in which i had learnt about this process. for the second day we had continued, what we was doing in the previous day, but by expanding our knowledge & the task in which was set by digitally creating the typography in which we drew up, digitally by learning how to use a scanner & scan in stuff & to also recreate the typography which we drew up on adobe Illustrator once we scanned it in. we also learnt about composition & also the "design cycle process". Materials - as we did graphics we had to use 3 different types of materials, for the lessons. on ...
